Director Information

Greetings parents and students!

I am very excited to introduce myself as the band director for Potomac High School.  Potomac High School has a long standing tradition of excellence in the classroom and in the performing arts.  As a 16 year honor band, it is important for us to carry on our tradition of excellence.  Our marching band is one of the most impactful and exciting ways that we can show school spirit and pride in ourselves and school community.

Being a member of the marching band provides students with a strong peer group to grow and learn within. This activity also presents opportunities for difficult challenges and great rewards.  Marching band is a lot of fun and a lot of hard work!  Our program will strive to help every student achieve the highest level of excellence, each and every day.

The marching band is not only a spirit-based group, but a competitive group as well!  Our marching band will travel for competitions where we receive awards and ratings for the quality of our performances.  The competitive season will culminate in the VBODA State Marching Festival where we will receive a rating that will impact our status as a Virginia Honor Band.

We are searching for new members who want to be a part of something new and exciting, and look forward to our veterans returning.  This year promises to be one of our best! I hope that you will join us as we start this exciting journey into the next chapter of the Pride of the Potomac Marching Band!
